Sanjeev was one of the founders of Ericsson R&D in Bangalore moving to India in 2010 after a 20 year long career in US, a majority of which was in Silicon Valley. More recently, his focus has been on delivering SDN-centric solutions which enable carriers to transform their networks by realiziing the promised potential of SDN. He was the founder of the SDN Controller Unit in Ericsson – a group, he now runs from Bangalore.
Sanjeev joined the engineering team at Redback Networks to build a multi-service platform based on the it’s SmartEdge product which was, until then, focused primarily on the BRAS segment. He led an engineering organization that built a services card together with Voice, Wireless, and Security gateways to transform SmartEdge in to a full-featured MSER platform. Redback went on to get acquired by Ericsson in 2007.
Prior to Redback, Sanjeev was at a WLAN start-up – Airespace – which was acquired by Cisco in 2005.
In the years preceding that, he was at start-ups and at more well-established companies in the areas Networking and EDA.
He has a Bachelors degree in CS from BITS, Pilani and an MS in CS from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
